[CES 2012] Pantech will soon have an Android Tablet that comes with waterproof protection on the U.S market called the Pantech Element. It is expected to debut through AT&T starting on January 22nd for the price of $299.99 and a new two-year contract. The new Pantech Element comes equipped with an 8-inch capacitive touchscreen display with a 4:3 aspect ratio and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor.
This new rugged Tablet comes IP57 certified meaning it has splash- proof and waterproof protection. There is a 5-megapixel camera on the rear of the device with flash and a 4x digital zoom plus there’s also a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chats. We know it comes with Bluetooth connectivity but no word if it’s WiFi enabled, it comes with 16GB of internal storage and can be expanded using the microSD card slot on the side. The element runs the Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS and promises high-quality web content thanks to its AT&T 4G LTE connectivity.
