Pantech has just announced its newest smartphone called Vega R3 that is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor and gets a large 5.3-inch Natural IPS Pro LCD touchscreen display with a 1280 x 720 resolution. The new smartphone will become the alternative for the Galaxy Note II which has similar screen dimensions.
In addition to its Snapdragon S4 processor, it gets 2GB of RAM, it has an 13-megapixel camera on the rear, a front-facing camera and it runs the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. Other specifications includes a 2600mAh battery which was designed and optimised for shorter charging times.
It has Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity, a microSD card slot, microUSB 2.0, and GPS feature. No prices for the Pantech Vega R3 have been announced as yet by Pantech, but it will be available to purchase in Korea via all three major carriers: SK Telecom, KT and LG U+ starting today.
