Pentax recently announced the K-r DSLR Camera, it comes with a 12.4 Megapixel sensor in a lightweight, compact stainless-steel chassis. There is a high ISO sensitivity of 100-25600 along with improved noise performance and viewfinder focus point indicator. Some main features of the Pentax K-r includes a 3-inch LCD display, in-body Shake Reduction for blur-free images, 11 point SAFOX IX autofocus system with dedicated AF assist lamp, a max 1/6000 second shutter speed, IrSimple high-speed infrared data transmission system and the capability to record 1280x720p HD video at 25fps.
The camera will be released in Japan, consumers will be able to personalize their K-r by changing their body color and grip colors using removable parts, getting 120 color variations. Pentax will also release a special gold edition in Japan.
