Phillips today announces its new GoGear Connect Portable Media Player that is powered by the Google Android 2.1 OS and happens to be the first ever Android MP4 Player. The new GoGear Connect comes with pre-installed with Google Mobile application and has access the Android Market with over 100,000 apps to choose from. The Connect also comes with integrated WiFi connectivity which is use for connection to the internet, then enjoy browsing with its 3.2-inch touchscreen display that offers a 480×320 resolution. If the internet is not your thing, then you may just like the fact that the Connect Android PMP supports a wide variety of media formats including MP3, WMA, M4A, AAV, OGG, FLAC audio; WMV, MP4, H.264, AVI video and JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, TIFF files.
Other fascinating features of the GoGear Connect includes Bluetooth, GPS Navigation, and supports microSD cards for expansion on its up to 16GB internal storage capacity. The Philips GoGear Connect Android PMP ships with noise-isolation earphones and will be available in Western Europe, USA & China from the end of October 2010. Consumers in Europe will be able to grab the 16GB model for a retail price of 249 Euros.
