Its not like its was a big secret on the PS3 Slim Edition but Sony yesterday unveiled the slim version to its PlayStation 3 Gaming Console at GamesCom. The new slim version won’t be out until September 1st for the consumers of North America and Europe and September 3rd for the Land of the Rising Sun.
The PS3 Slim comes with all the features of the original PS3 while consuming 34 percent less power and taking up 32 percent less space. Although it has all the features of the regular PS3 the slimmer version also adopted some new features of its own which includes BRAVIA Sync that allows the user to to control the PS3 XMB over HDMI through your BRAVIA TV remote and a System Standby Mode that will shut off the PS3 when your BRAVIA TV is off.
The PS3 Slim will be available with a 120GB Hard Drive for $300 or 300 Euro, or 29,980 Yen.
