PROMISE Technology has released a new portable storage device to its product line up the Pegasus J2, which the company claims to be the world’s smallest and fastest ultra-portable Thunderbolt storage device. The new storage device will be available in the storage capacities of 256GB and 512GB.
The new flash-based storage device doesn’t requires the use of a hard drive meaning its lightweight as well as durable. The Pegasus J2 is the perfect complement for Apple’s MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. When operating in AC mode it has the ability to transfer data as fast as 750 MB/s.
The Pegasus J2 ultra-portable Thunderbolt storage device is currently available from the Apple Online Store and through the PROMISE global network of distributors and value added resellers. It is also available from Amazon, the 256GB version is listed for $792.43 while the 512GB version goes for $1,632.01 per unit.
