At the Computex 2012 Expo, RunCore announced the new Pro VI 2.5-inch 7mm solid state drive which is said to provide a higher and more stable performance than the predecessor Pro V 2.5-inch 7mm SSD. The Solid State Drive comes in a 2.5-inch 7mm form factor and it was designed specially for use on slim notebooks including the Ultrabook, Workstations and desktops.
The new RunCore Pro VI comes with 32MB of cache memory and is available in the storage capacities of 32GB to 512GB. It promises to deliver a maximum read speed of up to 550MB/s and a maximum write speed of up to 380MB/s and up to 80000/60000 random read/write IOPS.
The drive also comes with built-in ECC, TRIM support, wear-leveling Algorithm Technology and utilizes the SATA III 6Gbps interface and boasts JMicron controller. The series of SSDs are expected to be available later this year and should go for prices ranging between $799 and $899.
