Samsung 7 Series Hybrid Tablet – Notebook

Samsung has unveiled its new 7 Series Hybrid Sliding Tablet/Laptop onto the market. The 7 Series is Samsung’s first sliding tablet PC that is powered by the Intel 1.66GHz Atom Oak Trail processor. It comes with a 10.1-inch multitouch LCD display with a 1366×768 pixel resolution, it also comes with other specifications including a 340-nit brightness, it weighs approximately 2.2 pounds and measures 10.47 x 6.88 x 0.78 inch. Features that stands out on the Samsung 7 Series are its sliding keyboard with touchpad for easy typing, there is an option of a 32GB or 64GB mSATA SSD, WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity, optional 3G connectivity, 4-in-1 memory card reader and 2GB of DDR2 Memory.

The Samsung 7 Series comes with built-in speakers, several pre-loaded applications, Samsung’s applications for music, video, photos, note taking, weather, clock, compass, there is an integrated accelerometer, an ambient light sensor called Eco Light Sensor and a 1.3-Megapixel webcam. It is expected to hit stores starting march 2011 for approximately $699.
