Samsung has expanded its new ATIV range, with a new tablet that is powered by the Windows RT platform. The new ATIV Tab was designed with a classy hairline finish and features a slim form factor that measures only 8.9mm and weighs in at just 570g.
The new tablet is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 2GB of memory, it has a 10.1-inch touchscreen display with a 1366×768 pixel resolution, it runs the Windows RT, a version of Windows 8 for ARM devices which will boots instantly and comes with Office Home and Student 2013 RT (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and OneNote application) pre-loaded.
Other specifications of the ATIV Tab includes a 5-Megapixel camera with autofocus and LED Flash, a 1.9-Megapixel front-facing camera, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and dual-band WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n connectivity. The new Windows RT tablet also includes support for NFC and offers Tap+Send file sharing feature. It comes with 32GB or 64GB internal storage and supports microSD/SDXC up to 64GB.
The ATIV Tab comes with a 8200mAh battery to provide an extended use. The tablet has USB host port and is compatible with Windows-based PC devices and accessories, such as printers, keyboard, mouse, USB storage devices.
