Samsung just announced another entry-level Galaxy smartphone in Southeast Asia. The Samsung Galaxy A01 is an entry-level phone that runs android latest version.
Apparently, Vietnam is one of the first countries to get the Galaxy A01 smartphone. The specifications don’t stand out much, for instance, it only features 16GB of onboard storage.
The Galaxy A01 comes equipped with a 5.7-inch display with a 720 x 1520px resolution. The screen also features a v-shaped notch where the selfie camera resides.
Under the hood, the A01 phone packs an octa-core Snapdragon 439 processor. The entry-level SoC is accompanied by 2GB of RAM, only 16GB of storage and an expandable microSD card slot.
Most noteworthy features include; two-camera main setup with a 13MP main sensor and a secondary 2MP sensor for depth. Selfies, on the other hand, won’t be the best quality with its 5MP sensor upfront.
Surprisingly, this entry-level phone gets Android 10 right out the box. There’s a custom UI dubbed One UI 2.0 running on top, for this reason, you may not get all the goodness of Android 10.
The phone runs on a 3000mAh battery, which should keep the lights on all day. That’s if used normally, not overly excessive WhatsApp usage.
Galaxy A01 Availability in Vietnam
In terms of availability, the A01 should start shipping on February 6th. The Galaxy A01 is on sale right now for VDN 2,790,000 ($120USD).
The phone comes in three color options; Red, Black, and Blue. It was launched first in Vietnam, however, we could see it popping up in order countries soon.
