Samsung recently unveiled its newest member of the Galaxy Family of Smartphones, the Galaxy Chat. This new smartphone comes running the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, it comes equipped with a 3.5-inch QVGA touchscreen display with a 240×320 pixel resolution, it also has a Full QWERTY keyboard and a dedicated key to launch Samsung’s ChatON Messaging service.
Other specifications of the Galaxy Chat includes a 2-Megapixel camera on the back of the device but it lacks a front-facing camera. The Galaxy Chat gets a 1200mAh battery which delivers up to 5 hours of talk time and a whopping 16 days of standby time.
Under the hood, the Galaxy Chat is powered by a mid-range 850MHz processor, it comes with 4GB of internal storage plus there’s a microSD card slot that support cards up to 32GB. It comes with the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with Samsung’s custom TouchWiz user interface. The company plans to launch the new handset in Spain this month and it will get a global launch to areas such as Europe, Latin America, Middle East, China, Southeast Asia, and Southwest Asia afterwards.
