About a week ago we introduced you guys to the new S-Voice feature that will be available on the new Galaxy S3, well the time is almost here for you to experience the new feature first hand. The Samsung Galaxy S III availability date was just announced by the manufacturer. Starting on June 20th, the handset will be available through wireless carriers and authorized national retailers both in the US and Canada.
Samsung also detailed a few features that will be available on the new handset, these features includes the Pop up play; a function that allows the user to play a video anywhere on their screen while doing other task on the phone, it comes equipped with Samsung Hubs that allows users to continually refresh phone content through the “Game Hub”, which provides access to an array of social games and Samsung Music Hub that offers a personal music streaming service directly to the phone.
Hardware-wise the Galaxy S III comes with a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED touchscreen display with 1280×720 pixel resolution and runs the Samsung TouchWiz UI with Motion UX, it is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core Sanpdragon S4 processor, a Qualcomm MSM8960 Chipset, 2GB of RAM and will be available with either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage. Please note that there will be two variants of the handset, the SGH-iT999 which will be available in only 16GB and the SGH-i747 which will be available in both 16GB and 32GB storage capacity.
Even though the smartphone comes with ample storage space, they also added a microSD card slot that will support MicroSDHC cards up to 32GB. The Galaxy S III also supports WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and DLNA connectivity. There will be two color options when it is launched, these are Pebble Blue and Marble White but a variety of color options will be available at a later date.
