Samsung and Verizon Wireless have announced that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, 10.1-inch model of the tablet is now available amongst the other Android devices available from the US-based carrier. The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is compatible with Verizon’s 4G LTE network and is being sold for the price of $499.99 and can be connected to a Verizon month-to-month service plan.
The Tab 2 10.1 comes equipped with a 10.1-inch LCD display with a 1280×800 resolution, it has specifications such as a 720p rear-facing HD camera capable of capturing still images as well as high-definition videos, there’s a front-facing camera that record VGA videos and can be used for live chat with friends.
The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor, it has 8GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot for expansion. Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 uses a TouchWiz-infused version of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich plus it also comes pre-loaded with a number of Verizon apps such as My Verizon, Viewdini, Backup Assistant Plus, Verizon Tones, Visual Voicemail, VZ Navigator, NFL Mobile, and Amazon Kindle.
