Samsung has announced the new Galaxy Tab 7.7 which is the successor to the first Android Tablet released by the brand, the original Galaxy Tab. The new Galaxy Tab 7.7 comes with a slightly larger display and it is the first tablet to come equipped with the Super AMOLED display and a razor-thin body.
The Galaxy Tab measures only 7.89mm thick (0.31-inch) and weighs in at 335g (11.8oz), just so you have an idea of how this tablet is. It comes equipped with a 7.7-inch Super AMOLED Touchscreen display with a WXGA 1280×800 pixel resolution, it is powered by a 1.4GHz Dual-Core processor, it will be available in the storage capacities of 16GB or 64GB models plus they comes with an integrated microSD card slot that will support cards up to 32GB in size.
Other specifications of the Galaxy Tab 7.7 includes a 3-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED-flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chatting. It will support HSPA+ 21Mbps and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity, it runs the Android 3.2 Honeycomb with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI which is very similar to the one found on the Galaxy Tab 10.1.
