Samsung recently unveiled its latest rugged Smartphone from its Galaxy Series, it is called the Samsung Galaxy XCover that runs the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. The rugged Xcover comes equipped with IP67 certification which means it is protected against dirt and dust as well as being waterproof at up to 1 meter depth for up to 30 minutes.
It comes with a 3.6-inch touchscreen display that is protected by scratch resistant tempered glass, there is a 3.2-megapixel camera on the rear of the device with LED-flash, it comes with Bluetooth and WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity, support for 7.2Mbps HSDPA networks and it also comes with Samsung’s Social Hub 2.3 software which allows the user instant access to social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook.
