Samsung launches first Tizen Z1 Phone in India

Samsung has finally launched its new Z1 Tizen Smartphone in India, which means it could start shipping to other markets shortly. The Samsung Z1 was fully developed in India and finally get to see the light of day. Interested consumers will be able to purchase the device at Rs. 5,700 per unit.

The Samsung Z1 comes equipped with a 4-inch WVGA display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels, powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with a mere 768MB of RAM. It also comes with 4GB of storage plus a microSD card slot that support cards up to 64GB. There’s also WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, GPS navigation, and supports dual SIM card simultaneously.Other features of the device includes a 3.1MP camera on the back and a VGA camera upfront.

The device is the first to run Samsung’s own Tizen OS, which is totally different from the Android operating system from Google. It is now available in India, and available in either black, white or wine red options.
