We are now approaching the end of the year and Samsung had a wonderful year and is now celebrating its milestone. The year was an impressive one for the South-Korean based company, but not only for its smartphones, but also for its tablets. According to new reports from Korean Media, the company sold over 40 million tablets this year, thanks to its Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition as well as its more affordable tablets.
The last quarter turned out to be the most profitable for Samsung, as they sold a whopping 12 million tablets. FNN News broke it down in a simple format; 9.1 million tablets in Q1 2013, 8.4 million units in Q2 and 10.5 million in Q3.
Samsung had a goal to sell a whopping 40 million tablets this year, a reporter ask a Samsung rep. if the company managed to achieve their goal, he replied, “we don’t know yet, but we’ll check“. The tablet was a profitable unit for the company this year, no wonder why we’re hearing rumors that the company plans to release a whole new line of tablets in 2014, most will be debut at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2014.
