Samsung SyncMaster NC220, World’s first Zero-Client Monitor

Samsung SyncMaster NC220Samsung has partnered with Cisco on a project that resulted in its new SyncMaster NC220 Monitor which is said to be the world’s first Zero-Client Monitor. The monitor was unveiled at the Cisco Live event in Las Vegas that was held last week, Zero-Client means the SyncMaster NC220 doesn’t need a system nearby to operate as it utilizes the Cisco Universal Power Over Ethernet (UPOE) technology which allows the device to be connected through a network cable to a virtualized central server that will execute all the task and applications needed.

Samsung and Cisco are targeting enterprises with these new monitors which were developed to reduce IT burden, it is has easy setup functions as well. The SyncMaster NC220 comes in an ultra-slim and compact form, it has an eco-friendly design with a panel that utilizes LED BLU technology which ensures bright and clear pictures. It also comes with an integrated Ethernet port for its Power-over-Ethernet functions, not much more specifications to list out and no availability date has been announced.
