Samsung has officially announced its new Mobile payment system dubbed the Samsung Wallet at MWC 2013. The new payment system from the smartphone giants is a result of a partnership with Visa. The Samsung Wallet will be available on new Samsung smartphones that runs on the Android platform, the mobile payment system is similar to Apple’s Passbook.
The mobile payment system was designed to allow the user to store things in their phone such as tickets, plus the app also offers other features such as location based push notifications and more.
The easy to use, time and location based push notification feature of Samsung Wallet will alert partner’s relevant coupons and tickets to users, providing increased access to partner’s Associate Apps, not to mention real-time updates on membership card points and changes to boarding passes.
During their announcement, Samsung unveiled that they will officially launched their new Galaxy S4 smartphone on the 14th of March, and this could be the first smartphone from the company to debut their new Samsung Wallet app.
