Samsung just unveiled its new WB850F high-end compact camera that was designed to offer the best performance in all types of settings, including low light conditions, thanks to its backside illuminated 16-megapixel CMOS sensor. It comes equipped with a f2.8 lens, a 21X optical zoom, the option to capture high-quality still images and recording 1080p HD videos as well. The Samsung WB850F also comes with a few features that enables the user to make connections with other devices, it comes equipped with WiFi connectivity, integrated GPS that allows the user to tag photos plus it can also connect to Android and iOS devices to share content.
It comes pre-loaded with a Samsung app that allows the user to transform their smartphone into a remote viewfinder. It will also connect to a number of online services such as Facebook, SkyDrive and even Samsung’s AllShare Play cloud service that will automatically process files depending on the target devices. Samsung also added a web browser that enables the device to log into public WiFi Hotspots to browse or upload photos.
The Samsung WB850F will be available in two different versions; there will be one version that connect to Android Smartphones which ships right away and an iOS version that will be launched in May 2012.
