[CES 2012] Samsung and SmartCam has introduced the WiFi Video Baby Monitor, that is targeted at tech savvy parents who like to have eyes on their children at all times. The Monitor comes with a free Android and iOS application that enables them to access the wireless baby monitor directly from their smartphone, no matter what continent they are located on. The monitor comes with a one-touch WPS button that automatically pairs the device with their home WiFi network in less than 30 seconds, which ensures that setup is quick and easy.
The camera comes with a lens that can tilt from 0-150-degree and its non-visible infrared LEDs allows you to see your children in low-light environment. It measures 1.25-inch thick and 3.15-inch in diameter which means its compact enough to be installed just about anywhere in the nursery, it comes with integrated microphone and speaker for two way talking as well.
It records 640×480 video at 30fps and uses H.264 compression, plus it can also be configured to automatically record when motion or sound is detected and even upload footage to a secure YouTube account using your home WiFi connection. The new Samsung WiFi Baby Monitor is expected to be launched in March and will cost about $150 per unit.
