We recently heard of rumors of a possibility of the Samsung Z1 Tizen being launched in India but it didn’t occur, and now another rumor has arise of the Z1 Tizen smartphone release in South Korea on January 18th.
According to multiple reports, the Z1 is a low-end smartphone which runs Samsung’s homegrown operating system known as Tizen and powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, supports 3G connectivity and dual-SIM capable. The device is fitted with a 4-inch WVGA display, it has a 3.2MP camera and should retail for a price under $100.
A report from The Korea Economic Daily cites a Samsung official on this, claiming that the company will release Z1 on January 18th, 2015. Reports claims that the smartphone was delayed intentionally because it wanted to take the time to get more applications ready for the Tizen platform.
