Sanyo has released what they are claiming to be the world’s first Waterproof Full HD Dual Camera, it is the Sanyo Xacti DMX-CA100. The DMX-CA100 has the capability to shoot Full HD videos to a depth of 3 meters underwater for up to 60 minutes, it meets the IPX8 standard based on JIS C 0920 waterproofing guidelines. Other than its special “Waterproof powers”, the DMX-CA100 comes with a 14 megapixel CMOS sensor, Sanyo’s video processing engine which enables the device to capture up to 22 photos at 7fps, it can also record full HD videos MPEG-4 AVC / H.264 format.
Other notable specifications of the DMX-CA100 includes its Double Range Zoom which enables zoom operation while filming video, it offers up to 12x zoom which can be achieve by a touch of the Zoom Range Button. There is also Digital Image Stabilization, Face Chaser Function, mini HDMI port, USB port plus SDXC memory and Eye-Fi cards support.
