Scotiabank Blackberry Mobile Banking App coming in 2010?

Blackberry Scotiabank Mobile Banking App
Canada’s Scotiabank has recently announced that it will team up with an international mobile banking and payments solution provider, M-Com to bring mobile banking to its customers in spring 2010. The app will be available for blackberry users and will grant access to account with the options of making transfers, paying bills, view balances and transaction history.

It seem as if the bank also has plans of making the app available to other mobiles phones as they stated “By spring 2010, any Scotiabank customer with a mobile device can have secure access to their bank accounts”. We will keep you updated on this service as the story unfolds.

  1. I am conducting a research on mobile banking … and I came across various services introduced by other countries to facilitate their people
As in Simer Mobile technology Malaysia – does not use SMS or WAP — as used by many current mobile banking applications—but an improved version of USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) that will enable interactivity of users on mobile similar to the ATMs
and”Easy Paisa” ( Pakistan targeted to cater the unbanked to pay the utility bills and money transfer across the country
India is aheading forward to bring mobile banking services to PCOs and grocery stores!!!
What more one can ask for 🙂
