Sigma announces the coming of its new DSLR Camera which is the company’s latest flagship DSLR model. It is the Sigma SD1 Digital SLR Camera and according to the company it is scheduled for release in February 2011. The Sigma SD1 features a 46-Megapixel 24x16mm APS-C X3 direct image sensor, it offers dual ‘TRUE II’ image processing engines, TRUE II is a Three-layer Responsive Ultimate Engine that ensure the high resolution images are processed quickly with high definition and a smooth and subtle graduation of color, it offers a autofocus system with 11 point twin cross sensor and its pentaprism SLR viewfinder provides 98% vertical, 98% horizontal coverage and 0.95x magnification.

The Sigma SD1 is constructed from solid magnesium alloy which makes the camera lightweight, it features O-ring sealing connections to make a weather-resistant design throughout for use in harsh conditions. The Sigma SD1 Digital SLR uses CF memory cards and was recently showcased at the Photokina 2010 in Koln, Germany.
