Silicon Power has announced its two new Solid State Drives, both from its S series, the S60 and S70 drives. Both drives comes with a 7mm form factor in a 2.5-inch size. The new SSDs are ideal for use with n latest slim notebooks including the Ultrabooks.
Both of them use SATA III inteface to deliver fast speeds, they support DuraWrite and wear leveling for extended endurance, TRIM command, Garbage Collection technology and built-in SMART monitoring system. They are both available in the storage options of 60GB, 120GB, 240GB and 480GB capacities.
The S60 was designed to offer high performance at an affordable pricing while the S70 is a higher-end line with optimized performance. They both utilizes SATA III inteface to deliver fast speeds, with the S60 delivering a 550MB/s read and 500MB/s write speeds while the S70 delivers 557MB/s for read and 507MB/s for write.
