Silicon Power has once again announced a new Solid State Drive that they are calling the Silicon Power Velox V30. This new SSD utilizes the SATA 6.0Gbps interface which is popularly known as the SATA III interface. The Velox V30 SSD Series will be available in the storage capacities of 60GB, 120GB, 240GB and 480GB, they are all powered by a SandForce controller which allows the drives a maximum write speed of 500MBps and a top read speed of 550MBps.
Silicon Power added its Garbage Collection technology which will resolve the issue of decreased efficiency in SSDs used for long periods of time, it also supports the TRIM Command for Windows. The Velox V30 Solid State Drive is aimed at professionals and gamers who requires external storage options, no pricing information was found for the Velox V30 Series.
