Sony Alpha NEX-3N Mirrorless Camera with APS-C Sensor

Sony has expanded its line of Alpha NEX mirrorless cameras with the latest NEX-3N, which the company is claiming to be the world’s smallest and lightest interchangeable lens camera with an APS-C size image sensor. The compact camera comes fitted with a redesigned grip that is smaller than that of the F3, plus the grip makes it even more comfortable to hold and prevents slipping.

Sony Alpha NEX-3NThe new NEX-3N from Sony’s Alpha line comes equipped with a 16.1-megapixel Exmor HD CMOS APS-C image sensor and features 100 – 16,000 ISO range for enhanced low-light performance. The camera is also equipped with BIONZ processor that enables the device to deliver sharper images and ultra-low noise with adaptive noise reduction.

Sony Alpha NEX-3N - Flip AngleOther specifications of the NEX-3N includes a 3-inch tiltable LCD display that flips up 180-degree to mak self-portraits shooting easy, it shoots videos in 1080/60i/24p in AVCHD format or in 1080/30p MP4 format. Sony plans to start selling the Alpha NEX-3N in the colors of black and white, it will be available as a kit with a motorized 16-50mm zoom lens (model SELP1650) for about $499.99.
