Sony has made an addition to its Cyber-shot series with the DSC-HX10V and DSC-H90 Digital Cameras. The affordable cameras comes equipped with 16x optical zoom lens, and the HX10V features Clear Image Zoom technology to extend zoom range up to 40x. The Cyber-shot HX10V features an 18.2-megapixel Exmor R CMOS image sensor and is powered by the BIONZ image processor while the H90 is equipped with a 16.1-megapixel Super HAD CCD sensor.
The HX10V also comes with the option to record Full HD 1080 1080/60i AVCHD videos with Dual-Record function allowing the user to capture still images while recording videos. It also comes with GPS and compass that will record the user’s present location data of images and log photographic journey. Some features including in the Cyber-shot HX series includes super fast AF, Optical SteadyShot with Active Mode, Extra High Sensitivity, Photo Creativity, Background Defocus, 3D Still Image and 3D Sweep Panorama mode, 10fps shooting, Superior Auto mode and 9 Picture Effects.
The Cyber-shot H90 on the other hand is an entry-level model and it features optical SteadyShot and record 720p HD video recordings. The both get a 3-inch Xtra Fine LCD display and other functions including ntelligent Auto Mode, Smile Shutter, Anti-blink, Soft Skin mode, Intelligent Scene Recognition Mode, Face Detection and Natural Flash functions.
The Cyber-shot DSC-HX10V comes in the color options of white, silver, black and red for $329 and the H90 comes in silver, black and red for $249.
