Sony Ericsson announces two eco-friendly mobile phones, the C901 GreenHeart and Naite Eco Phones. The C901 GreenHeart (right) boasts a casing that is made from a minimum of 50% recycled plastics and colored with waterborne paint that lowers exposure to Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC). It features a 2.2-inch color display, a 5 megapixel camera, Bluetooth Connectivity, FM tuner and M2 Memory Stick slot for memory expansion.
The Sony Ericsson C901 GreenHeart also comes with a WalkMate application which allow users to compare their steps with the equivalent journey they would have travelled by car.
The Sony Ericsson Naite Eco Phone comes with a 2.2-inch screen, a 2 megapixel camera, bluetooth connectivity and MicroSD card slot for expansion on memory storage. The Naite comes with an Eco Friendly application also called the Ecomate application which helps users to calculate how much CO2 they save when they walk instead of driving.
Both handset Eco Phones will come with a low-power charger the EP300 GreenHeart charger which will reduces the overall CO2 footprint of the two phones by 15%.
