Sony has announced its innovation in Video recording, it was first announced a few months back that Sony was developing a new NEX Camcorder, well they finally unveiled it. It is the Handycam NEX-VG10, the world’s first HD Camcorder with Interchangeable Lens and the first camcorder in the Sony NEX Line of Products.
The NEX-VG10 HD Camcorder has the capability to record Full HD 1920×1080 video at up to 24Mbps and 14 Megapixel still images. It comes with the same Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor used in NEX-5 and NEX-3 DLSR Cameras and comes with an E-mount 18-200mm lens optimized for video shooting that offers a powerful 11x optical zoom. Some noteworthy features includes its Optical Steadyshot image stabilization, BIONZ image processor, silent auto-focus system, Quad Capsule Spatial Array Stereo Microphone and a 3-inch TruBlack Xtra Fine LCD swivel display.
Sony’s NEX-VG10 Handycam uses a variety of memory cards including Memory Stick PRO Duo/PRO-HG Duo and SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards. The Handycam NEX-VG10 is scheduled for release in September for a retail price of $2000.
