Sony Head Mounted HMZ-T1 3D ScreenAt the last CES in Las Vegas, Sony has revealed their concept for a head mounted display which would allow the user to play 3D games and watch 3D movies, well the company has decided to make that concept into an actual product so here we officially introduce the Sony Head-Mounted HMZ-T1 3D Display which is expected to hit the Japanese market initially in November and will start at 60,000 yen which is approximately $785.

The Sony HMZ-T1 comes equipped with a combination of a two 1280×720 Organic EL panels and Sony’s 45-degree optical lens technology, the combination offers equivalent of a 750-inch screen viewed from approximately 20m away. The head-mounted 3D display also has an integrated 5.1-channel virtual surround sound and it also promises an immersive 3D experience with no 3D crosstalk as well as displaying of subtitles that can be read without difficulty.

Sony didn’t release any information that states which other countries the device will be available in, however they did state that it will be bundled with a special processor unit which enables the user to connect a Blu-ray, laptop, camcorder or PS3 as well as offering an HDMI pass-through for connecting a second headset or other displays.
