Sony Mobile has launched its new high-end mobile phone the Sony Xperia XZ Premium. The second handset to support gigabit LTE after Samsung Galaxy S8.
Sony Mobile is releasing yet another premium smartphone dubbed the Xperia XZ Premium. Once available it will become the second commercially available phone to support gigabit LTE.
Sony will start accepting pre-orders for the Xperia XZ Premium in the U.S. through Best Buy and Amazon starting on June 12th and via retailers on June 19th.
The XZ Premium comes equipped with a 5.5-inch display which runs at full 4K and supports HDR content. The handset also comes with Sony’s new Motion Eye system which allows the device to scan images up to five times faster than before, and making it the first smartphone that can capture slow-motion video at 960FPS.
The Sony Xperia XZ Premium is powered by a octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with 4GB of RAM. The phone features 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.
Other specifications includes a 19-megapixel main camera on the rear and a 13-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling.
The Xperia XZ Premium runs on Android 7.0 operating system and a non-removable 3230mAh battery. Once available it will set you back $800 to own.
