Microsoft announced last month that starting in September, the Xbox One console would be available in China and Sony is now making a similar move as well. Sony has announced that they are about to launch the PlayStation 4 in China.
This news come to us as the Chinese Government decided to lift the ban on import of video games and consoles. Microsoft and Sony certainly didn’t wait to announce that their devices will be available in China soon. Microsoft made a complete use of it by announcing the launch of the Xbox One in the region, in collaboration with China’s BesTV.
While Sony has teamed up with Shanghai Oriental Pearl Culture Development, and plans to bring its console to the Chinese market. There’s no word on when we may see the console landing on the retail shelves in the region, it will certainly be a race between both companies to see which will first bring their device to market.
