Sony has finally started to pre-sale the new Tablet S device and it is expected to start shipping later this month. The device will start shipping in the US and to Canada sometime this month, it features a unique design that gives user the ability to tablet without the use of a stand.
It features a 9.4-inch capacitive touchscreen display with a 1280×800 pixel resolution, it is powered by a 1GHz Tegra 2 Dual-Core Processor, it has 1GB of RAM and comes in the options of 16GB or 32GB models plus both models also comes an SD card slot which allows the user to add more storage space up to 32GB extra. Other specifications of the Sony Tablet S includes WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, a rear-facing 5-megapixel camera, a front-facing VGA camera for video chatting as well as a micro USB port.
The Sony Tablet S runs the Android 3.1 OS and comes with a 5,000 mAh battery that promises about 2 hours of work time. Both the 16GB and 32GB models will be available and will go for the price of $500 and $600, respectively.
