Sony has updated its VAIO F Series of Notebooks which is now available on the market at a starting price of $1,100. The updated version of the VAIO F Series is based on Intel’s Huron River platform which includes Intel’s Sandy Bridge Series of Processors. The updated version will get a choice of the Intel Core i7 -2630QM, i7-2720QM or i7-2820QM with quad-core processing, the choice of up to 640GB of Hard Drive storage or 512GB SSD and 8GB of RAM. The updated VAIO F will feature a 16.4-inch LCD HD display with a 1920×1080 resolution and the option to also get a 3D display. It gets a backlit keyboard, a GeForce GT 520M 512MB or GT 540M 1GB graphics card, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity, an HDMI output, two USB 3.0 ports, a choice from two high-operational batteries, an integrated HD webcam, SD card slot and it delivers quality sound thanks to its S-Force Front Surround 3D technology. The new VAIO F Series is targeted at users who demands performance for entertainment purposes which includes gaming, music and to watch movies.
