Sony expands its Vaio Family on the European market with its latest member called the Vaio Z Series. The Vaio Z is an ultra thin and portable notebook device that features a 16.65mm frame which was constructed using Carbon Fiber, a material that was created using carbon atoms, which is considered as a strong material. The Vaio Z Notebook series comes equipped with a 13.1-inch LCD display with a 1600×900 or 1920×1080 resolution, the series gets powered by Intel’s Sandy Bridge series of processor with the choice of the 2.7GHz Core i7-2620M processor plus the Vaio Z comes with the Quick Boot function which allows the device to start up 50% faster than the conventional notebook PC.
The Sony Vaio Z body casing weighs approximately 1.18kg which means it is also lightweight, there are other specifications such as Intel HD 3000 graphics chip, 256GB of SSD storage, 8GB of RAM, a fingerprint reader for security and a lot of connectivity options which includes Bluetooth 2.1, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, USB 3.0, HDMI ports and a battery life of 7 hours which can be boosted to 14 hours using an optional sheet battery. The new VAIO Z Series is expected to debut on the European market in July with a starting price of a little over £1,400.
