Sprint is launching the new ZTE Optik on the US Market, a new 3G tablet that comes equipped with the power of a Qualcomm SnapDragon 1.2GHz dual-core processor, it has 16GB of internal storage, MicroSD/SDHC card slot and 1GB of RAM. The 7-inch 3G tablet comes pre-loaded with Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS, there’s a touchscreen display with 1280×800 pixel resolution.
Other specifications of the ZTE Optik includes GPS navigation, WiFi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity. It comes with support for Sprint’s 3G mobile network and the full array of Google applications including Gmail, Search, Google Maps with Navigation. There are two cameras on the device, a 5-Megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera as well.
In addition to the Google apps, Sprint also added its own applications to the device, which includes the Sprint Zone, Sprint TV, Sprint Music Plus, Sprint Navigation and other useful services. Powered by a 4000 mAh li-ion battery, it will cost $99.99 with an eligible upgrade or a new two-year contract, or cough up $349.99 for no contract agreement.
