Mobile payments system Square which was founded in 2009 by Jack Dorsey the creator of Twitter, has just announced its new creation called the Square Stand which was designed as a handy point of sale stand for Apple iPad device.
The Square Stand features the same abilities as the card reader for the iPhone but it looks more “elegant” as the company describes it. According to Square, the Stand is “elegant, fast, affordable and easy to use,”, however currently the Square stand is only compatible with second and third-generation iPads with 30-pin connectors.
The Square Stand POS system is available for pre-order for the price of $299 and includes a creditor card swiper at the front and a raised iPad stand. You can watch the video after the jump to see the Square Stand POS in action, if you would like more information about the Square Stand go to the Square website for more details.
