StubHub, a subsidiary of eBay Inc. is launching its StubHub Music App nationwide as it seeks a waybto take on it’s competitor Live Nation in selling more concert tickets. The app was launched in San Francisco this June, and has since expanded to major cities nationwide this Tuesday.
The StubHub app is currently only available for the Apple iPhones, but hopefully it should be available on Android smartphones really soon. The app has the ability to scan your music library and recommends upcoming shows by your favorite artist, it has a radius dial which allows you to set your preferred distance you’re willing to travel to see a show, up to 150 miles.
The App then directs customers to StubHub to buy tickets for that particular concert, however if the concert is currently sold out, it might also direct customers to other ticket resellers including Brown Paper Tickets or even AXS, but not all the time.
