Super Talent just announced its new SuperNova SATA III Solid State drives which is aimed at users with routers, server farms and simulation applications. One of the main features of the new SuperNova SATA III series is that the new drive features a silicon padding which prevents overheating and requires less cooling.
The new SuperNova SATA III SSD is based on MLC flash and powered by SandForce’s controller. The new SuperNova SSD series is available in the storage capacities of 128GB and 256GB, and offers a maximum writing speed of 525MB/s and a 555MB/s read speed with up to 85k maximum IOPS 4k random write performance.
The new SuperNova SATA III SSD also includes RAISE technology that virtually eliminates unrecoverable read errors. The new series is now available but no pricing details were found.
