In addition to the Satellite S800 Series, Toshiba also announced the new Satellite S955 Laptop that features an ultra-thin frame that measures less than an inch. The new Satellite S955 Laptop will be one of the notebooks from the Satellite S series to run the Windows 8 operating system that will be released on October 26th.
The Satellite S955 can be configured with a 3rd generation Intel Core processor or a powerful AMD A-Series APU, 750GB of Hard Drive storage and up to 8GB of memory. Thanks to the specifications, the laptop provides ultra-responsive performance for multitasking as well as casual gaming.
It comes with an 15.6-inch diagonal HD TruBrite display ideal for watching movies, there’s a built-in DVD drive and a range of connectivity options. Even though it was meant for the budget-conscious customer, the device does get HDMI output, an Ethernet jack, a DVD optical drive and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. Toshiba will start selling the S955 next month for the starting price of $649.99.
