Toshiba has just announced that its new 7-inch Android tablet which is called the Thrive 7 will be available soon. The Thrive 7 is the little brother of the 10.1-inch Thrive Tablet measures only 0.47-inch thick and weighs only 0.88 pounds plus it was also built to last with a durable and slip-resistant Easy Grip finish.
It comes equipped with a 7-inch LED backlit AutoBrite display with multi-touch capability and a 1280×800 pixel resolution which is also backed by Toshiba’s Adaptive Display and Resolution+ video enhancement technologies. The device also comes with a gyroscope which means the user will have the option to use the tablet in either portrait or landscape view and for motion control with Android games, it is powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 Dual-Core Processor and will be available in two different models, a 16GB model or a 32GB model.
The Thrive 7 also comes with a 5-megapixel camera on the rear of the device with LED-flash and HD recording capability, a front-facing 2-megapixel camera for internet chats and other than its onboard storage options there is also an integrated microSD card slot that allows storage expansion. Other specifications include connectivity options such as a mini USB port, micro HDMI port, it comes with integrated GPS features, built-in stereo speakers that are supported by sound enhancement technologies from Toshiba and SRS Labs plus WiFi 802.11 and Bluetooth connectivity.
The Toshiba Thrive 7 comes with the Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS installed plus it also offers support to Adobe Flash so it is the ideal gadget for users who likes to play a little Farmville or Cityville while catching the bus or subway to work. The sale price of the Thrive 7 remains unknown but is being speculated that it will be available for purchase in December. Perfect Holiday Gift for me….
