U.S. Cellular has teamed up with Samsung to unveiled the new entry-level Android-powered Samsung Repp to its customers. The Samsung Repp comes equipped with a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen display with a 320×480 pixel resolution and it is aimed at first-time smartphone buyers. It is powered by an 800MHz processor which should deliver a fair experience to first time android users, it comes with a 2GB microSD card pre-installed and will support cards up to 32GB in storage capacity.
Specifications of the Samsung Repp for U.S. Cellular includes a 3-Megapixel camera on the rear of the device that has video recording capabilities, it lacks a front-facing camera but thanks to the 1,500mAh battery users will get a pretty good 8 hours of talk time or up to 12.5 days of standby time from a single charge. In terms of its dimensions, the Samsung Repp measures 110.5mm x 58.4mm x 13.2mm (4.35in x 2.26in x 0.48in) and weighs 105.5g (3.72oz) which means it shouldn’t be a problem while on the go. The new Samsung Repp will debut in U.S. Cellular stores soon and expect it to be free after a full rebate with a new two year contract with the carrier.
