Barnes & Noble today announced that the NOOK e-Reader is expected to be launched on the UK sometime during Autumn of 2012.
The NOOK e-Reader is already available on the US and Canadian markets in both 8GB and 16GB versions, they both run the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.
The NOOK e-reader range will be made available to UK residents through a new website and store at www.nook.co.uk, and the arrival of the NOOK in the UK, marks the first time Barnes & Noble have launched their e-reader internationally. As a reminder, the device is powered by a Ti OMAP 3621 @ 800Mhz processor and according to William J. Lynch, Chief Executive Officer at Barnes & Noble:
