Verizon Wireless has finally announced its version of the Samsung Galaxy S Smartphone, the Samsung Fascinate which is the fourth Galaxy S Smartphone to be released in the United States following the T-Mobile Vibrant, the AT&T Captivate and the Sprint Epic 4G. Verizon Wireless has started offering the handset online yesterday and will be offering the handset today in retail stores.
Starting today you will be able to walk into a Verizon retail store and purchase the Verizon Galaxy S Smartphone. The Smartphone features a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display, a 5-Megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording and autofocus, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, WiFi 802.11b/g/n and powered by a 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor. The handset runs the Android 2.1 OS with TouchWiz UI.
The Samsung Fascinate Galaxy S comes with 512MB of RAM and supports microSD memory card up to 16GB. The Samsung Fascinate costs $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a two-year contract.
