Verizon now sells the Galaxy Nexus Smartphone for $99

Verizon Wireless has just announced that they have dropped the price of the Galaxy Nexus Smartphone that comes with the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. The Galaxy Nexus is now available from the carrier for the price of $99 with a new two year contract.

The Google Galaxy Nexus was made by Samsung for the company and it was the first smartphone to be released with the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, even thought they have announced that it will be getting the new Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in an update which will be released in the near future.

As a reminder, the Galaxy Nexus comes equipped with a 4.65-inch HD multi-touch touchscreen display with a 1280×720 resolution, it is powered by dual core 1.2GHz processor, it gets 1GB of RAM, there’s a 5-Megapixel camera on the back capable of recording 1080p HD videos and a 1.3-Megapixel camera which records 720p HD videos. The Galaxy Nexus Smartphone also supports Verizon’s 4G LTE network.
