It was made aware by leakster @evleaks which hinted the upcoming tablet by simply tweeting that “Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet coming to Verizon.” No further details were provided by the leakster, so it remains unknown exactly when it will be available on Verizon Wireless shelves nationwide.

Sony’s Xperia Z2 is expected to feature a 10.1-inch display with a native resolution of 1920×1200, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM and 16/32GB storage options. There are dual cameras; an 8.1-megapixel camera on the rear and a 2.1-megapixel camera on the front of the device. The tablet also features the same IP58 water resistant certification as the Sony Xperia Z2 smartphone.

Sony currently sells the 16GB Wi-Fi only model for $499 and $599 for the 32GB models, which means Verizon Wireless prices should be pretty similar once they announced the prices.
