Verizon Wireless will be releasing the Motorola Droid Pro to its subscribers starting in the first week of November. The Motorola Droid Pro is a candy-bar handset that was designed for both Business and Personal needs plus it is also the latest Android-based Smartphone from Motorola and the Carrier.
The Droid Pro measures a mere 119 x 60 x 11.7 mm and weighs 134g, it is powered by a 1GHz OMAP 3620 Processor, there is a 3.1-inch capacitive touchscreen display with a 320×480 pixel resolution, a 5-Megapixel camera with dual LED flash and autofocus, 512MB of RAM, support for HSDPA, HSUPA, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity, DLNA, microUSB 2.0, 2GB of internal memory and a SD card slot for expanding your storage capacity.
Other than having great everyday features it was also optimized for Business use as well, it includes corporate connectivity and security, full push corporate e-mail with corporate level security, unified calendar with additional work features multi-headed VPN integration and complex password support, there is also Quickoffice Mobile Suite and it is powered by the Google Android 2.2 Froyo OS with MOTOBLUR.
The Motorola Droid Pro also has 3G Mobile Hotspot function that allows customers to connect up to five other WiFi-enabled devices simultaneously. The Droid Pro also comes with access to the Android Market with over 80,000 applications available for download.
