InfoSonics corp has announced its first selfie-focused smartphone dubbed the Spark II, but goes by the model name VeryKool S5015. The new selfie device is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM, putting the selfie phone right into the entry-level smartphone category.
The company’s selling point for the device is its 5MP selfie-friendly front-facing camera with LED flash, it also features an 8MP rear-facing camera with dual flash and auto focus. The Verykool S5015 Spark II comes fitted with a 5-inch IPS-LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720p pixels, one glass solution and full lamination.
The handset also features a pre-loaded application that lets users take hands-free selfies by simply whistling. The handset also comes with connectivity options such as WiFi, Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, a USB port, GPS, 8GB of internal storage plus a microSD card slot for expansions up to 32GB. The device supports Dual-SIM, plus its compatible with 4G HSPA+ networks which means its compatible with carriers such as T-Mobile and AT&T in the U.S. as well as other prepaid GSM carriers worldwide.
